Mission

Mass. Farm to School strengthens local farms and fisheries and promotes healthy communities by increasing local food purchasing and education at schools.

Vision

All Massachusetts schools consistently teach about and serve local foods, supporting vibrant local farming and fishing communities and healthy schools, students and families.

Our Priority Goals

Over the next 3 years, our work will focus on the following 4 priorities.

  1. Increase the volume and variety of local foods purchased and served to Massachusetts students at school
  2. Increase the number of schools implementing food & agriculture education
  3. Establish new state level policies that promote and support farm to school activities
  4. Cultivate and expand the Massachusetts Farm to School community, fostering diversity and enhancing engagement at multiple levels
