The Massachusetts Farm & Sea to School Conference is a biennial gathering for everyone working to connect students to local food and food education. The conference brings together 300+ attendees representing the full breadth of the farm and sea to school movement: educators, school nutrition professionals, farmers, fishers, food distributors, community organizers, policy advocates, nonprofit staff, early childhood educators, and student leaders. The conference offers workshops, facilitated discussions, hands-on activity stations, field trips, and an exhibitor fair which provides concrete skills and actionable takeaways alongside meaningful opportunities to build connections across the statewide network.
The first statewide gathering took place in 2012, and has grown into a cornerstone of the farm to school movement in Massachusetts. Each subsequent conference not only introduces new people to the farm to school community, but also provides a place of connection for longtime practitioners. Throughout the years conference themes have ranged from “Setting the Table: Communities Creating Change,” to “Rooted in Resilience: Centering Climate & Community.”
We look forward to seeing YOU at our next conference in 2028!
