Join Dinah Mack of Massachusetts Farm to School and Jen Cirillo of Shelburne Farms’ Institute for Sustainable Schools for an exploration of local food systems. In this 3 part workshop, you will learn how to bring local food systems alive for our students by exploring tools, looking closely at curriculum examples, and hearing from experts in the field. Together we will deepen our own understanding of local agricultural resources, explore ways to enhance middle school awareness of agriculture in our region, and develop tools to elevate student voice and action.

Participants who wish can earn 10 PDPs from Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom by writing and submitting a lesson plan based on their learning to Massachusetts Farm to School. Lesson plans will be shared and authors will be credited.
