Exciting Opportunity for Educators
Join the 2026-2027 Food System Civic Engagement Project!
Massachusetts Farm to School is excited to announce the launch of the 2026-2027 Food System Civic Engagement Project—an inspiring, project based initiative that supports secondary students (grades 7-12), educators, and community partners to become changemakers in their local food systems.
This yearlong opportunity invites a select cohort to explore the connections between food systems, civic engagement, sustainability, and social justice. Participants will investigate local issues, engage with stakeholders, and explore ways to support students in taking meaningful civic action to create positive change.Through student-led, community-rooted projects, teams will uncover real-world issues
Participating educators will:
Educators will participate in a monthly cohort meeting and receive ongoing support tailored to their learning community, including networking opportunities, connections to community-based research partners, and resources to strengthen both content knowledge and project implementation.
Stipends and Professional Development Points (PDPs) are available for participating educators.
Applications due June 19th, and applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by June 26th.
