Baked Pears

Serving: 1/2 pear (Yield:100 servings)

Ingredients

  • 50 of pears, fresh, whole
  • 1 ½ cup of lemon juice
  • (as needed) of water
  • 15 oz of granulated sugar, extra fine
  • 4 ½ tsp of cinnamon, ground

Steps

  1. Preheat oven at 400 F. Prepare water with lemon juice for step 2.
  2. Cut pears in half, core pears and place them in a pot or deep hotel pan filled with lemon juice water (to avoid oxidation/coloring).
  3. Place pears cut side down on sheet pans, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Add water (just a light layer to avoid sticking to the pan), bake in the oven for 30 min or until fork-tender.
  5. Serving size 1/2 pear.
