Seed Sleuth

In this activity, students will observe and compare seeds to match which vegetables are related to each other. The accompanying worksheet (PDF) asks students to observe the size, shape, and color of the seeds to classify what family of vegetables they are from. Finally students can expand their vocabulary through this activity, learning the definition of “sleuth,” and “taxonomy.”
