Tomato Exploration Lesson

 In this activity, students will be able to learn about the different varieties of tomatoes (e.g. cherry, heirloom, plum, etc.). After reading a book related to tomatoes, students will craft a 3-D tomato out of colored paper and fasteners. Recommended books: Vegetable Dreams by Dawn Jeffers, I Will Never Not Eat a Tomato by Lauren Child, and Tomatoes Grow on a Vine by Mari C. Schuh.
