It’s Farm to School Census Time!

School Nutrition Staff: Complete the 2023 Farm to School Census

Conducted every four years, the USDA Farm to School Census is one of the best tools we have to show policymakers, producers, communities, and families what kind of impact farm to school is making on the school nutrition landscape to inform future resources.

In 2019, over 70% of Massachusetts schools and districts participated in the USDA Farm to School Census – and this census, we want to do even better! Check out these resources as well as this October 2023 USDA Census SFA Webinar for information on how to complete your census survey. Please note: all districts are strongly encouraged to complete a USDA Farm to School Census regardless of whether you believe your district participates in farm to school activities.

On October 2, 2023 all school food service directors should have received a unique survey link via DIR Associates to participate in the USDA 2023 Farm to School Census.

If you are a food service director and have not received a census survey email or are having difficulty accessing your online survey form, please contact DIR Associates’ survey team at Farm2SchoolCensus@dir-online.com or toll-free at 866-986-2230.

Complete the survey and make sure #LocalCounts in Massachusetts!
